An event called the World eBook Fair is running this month ? beginning July 4th and ending August 4th. The event is offering access to over 6,500,000 eBooks and PDFs and is sponsored by Project Gutenberg, the World Public Library, Bean Books, the Internet Archive, My eBook and Wattpad.

The event, which appears to be virtual in nature, is offering a 48 books best seller package for free download at their website at: www.worldebookfair.org/ as well as search links through the catalogs of the various sponsors. The fair is put on by the World Public Library Association, an organization whose stated goal is to ?provide free public access for a month to 6.5 million eBooks? and has an annual membership available as well for $8.95.
