Corporate Relations Senior Communications Consultant | IABC

Seeking a candidate who will accept full responsibility for internal communications as well as media relations and external communications support in Allstate?s Southwest Region, headquartered in downtown Tempe, Arizona, near ASU?s campus.? The role will support the Field Corporate Relations Manager in developing and implementing the communications and plans to position Allstate as an insurance and financial services leader. The person in this position is expected to:

??????? Develop and create internal communication strategies and tools that consider all stakeholders and are aligned with corporate and regional priorities, messaging and business objectives.?

???????? With minimal direction, implement and measures internal communications plans to ensure integration and message consistency among all regional stakeholders.

??????? Develop strategic communications to help drive engagement, line of sight and culture change among regional internal/external stakeholders for new and existing business and reputation programs and initiatives.?

??????? Implement and support proactive media relations programming, including building and managing relationships with journalists and bloggers; serving as the company spokesperson; developing and distributing electronic and video communications materials; implementing strategic public relations campaigns integrated with national reputation goals and programs; planning and executing media and community events; and managing social media channels.

??????? Grow and leverage partnerships with community organizations aligned with Allstate Foundation?s signature program areas, including teen safe driving and the economic empowerment of victims of domestic violence.

??????? With minimum guidance, implement event and project management for The Allstate Foundation, Public Social Responsibility, Media, as well as the achievement of key business unit objectives.

The person in this role will utilize their internal communication skills and external media expertise to favorably position Allstate with its key stakeholders, including customers, consumers, media, opinion leaders, employees and agencies. In addition, this individual will advance the credibility, and positive reputation of the corporation through the development and implementation of an integrated, multifaceted internal positioning strategy. This will enhance Allstate?s image and reputation through improved Allstater engagement and accountability.

?Qualifications:

??????? The successful candidate will have at least four years of experience in corporate or business communications or in a public relations agency. The individual must have superior written and oral communication skills in addition to the following:

• Proven track record with building internal communication strategies that build employee/agency engagement.
• Proven track record in achieving media results in all channels.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge and experience with Constant Contact.

Video and imaging software skills.

• Experience using digital media strategies and tactics to advance business goals.

???????? Four year college degree with an emphasis in Communications, Journalism or Public Relations.? A Master?s Degree is a plus.
