Do you need everyone on Facebook to know that you're watching the latest episode of "Game of Thrones"? Facebook is adding new features to status updates to give your activities a little more punch in the news feed.
The news post describing the feature is a bit spare on details, but it does say that "if you share that you're watching a movie like 'Jurassic Park,' your post will contain the movie icon and a link to the movie's page."
This only occurs when you specifically select a new "watching" option ? or else people might find posters appearing for movies when mentioning common topics like "cars" or "twilight." The same should work for other activities, and the shows and books you mention will be entered in the appropriate sections of your timeline.
The new features should be rolling out over the next few weeks.
