Boulder police are investigating two residential burglaries in the University Hill area that may have been committed by the same person.
In both burglaries a suspect took laptops, and witnesses provided similar descriptions of the suspect.
The first burglary occurred on May 11 in the 900 block of University Avenue around 1:37 a.m. Two male roommates and a friend were home when one of them saw a man enter a bedroom from the outside and heard glass shattering. When they checked the room, a laptop was missing.
In the second case, a woman was moving out of her apartment in the 100 block of 12th Street on May 14 at 5:25 p.m. As she was walking to her car with some boxes she noticed a man going up the stairs to her building.

When she returned she noticed the same male coming out of the building and then saw her laptop was missing when she checked her apartment.Police believe the same suspect is responsible for both burglaries. He was described as a college-aged white male, 6 feet tall, 170 pounds with short brown hair. In the first case he was seen wearing a pink, pin-stripe shirt with long-sleeves. In the second case he was seen wearing tan cargo shorts, sneakers and a white or light-gray shirt with multi-color writing.
