10-11-year-olds: Middletown 11, Town of Newburgh 1
Winning pitcher Seth Logan led Middletown to a victory over Town of Newburgh that clinched the District 19 championship at Middletown.
Logan helped his cause by going 2-for-3. Reliever Nikko Citriniti, who closed out the five-inning game, clubbed a three-run home run and Daniel Howell went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer.
Lucas Rodriguez, Kelvin Marte and Howard Sewell each had two hits for Middletown, which will begin play in the Section 4 tournament at 7 p.m. Saturday at West Nyack.
Jake Cook had a home run for Town of Newburgh.
