Crock Pot Applesauce | Skinny | Skinny Mom | How to get skinny fast ...

One of our favorite family activities in the fall is picking apples at our neighbor?s house. She is generous enough to share the bounty with my family and with my parents. We all eagerly await for that phone call each September that tells us that the apples are ready! We just returned from our apple picking adventure with loads of delicious sweet, crisp, and tart apples. Though they are amazing to eat right out of the bucket, we also have a large amount to cook and bake. One of our favorite dishes to make is a homemade applesauce, right out of the crock pot, from Mommy Makes It Better. It is extremely easy, delicious, and it makes the house smell like fall.

Directions:

1. Peel, core and chop the apples.

2. Add the sugar, lemon peel, lemon juice and cinnamon stick.

3.?Set?crock pot to low and cook for 6 hours. Stir?apples occasionally, apples will slowly become a delicious applesauce. Remove cinnamon stick and use an immersion blender to blend until smooth, or if you prefer a chunky sauce, leave sauce intact.
