But, life still has it's unexpected surprises.
My in-loves drove out for an unexpected week long stay and will be leaving for home on Monday. We have enjoyed their visit tremendously. In between the cooking (and minimal cleaning) we've enjoyed times of just sitting and visiting. This is a rare practice for me... but I have surely needed and enjoyed it.
My daughter in love had an accident and needed an unexpected surgery so I'll be playing nursemaid for the next week and helping with the grands. Poor dear! I'm thankful it wasn't worst.
I have a baby shower coming up this month and was concerned how to purchase a nice gift. Gift giving under a tight budget has always been a challenge for me. I probably lack faith in this area and need to pray about it more. I tend to fret over what to give and if it's a nice enough present instead of consistently praying for the Lord to provide and then being thankful for His provision. He is working on me in this area for which I am thankful.
So, I have this important family baby shower coming up and really wanted to be able to buy a gift. My paycheck was half it's normal amount last month and it looks like it will be the same scenario this month. I remembered a post by a sweet friend April about making baby gifts and so I contacted her. She generously shared a few ideas which I loved.
It still didn't seem quite enough so i pondered I contacted April at ? ? ? ? ? ? ??
So, life goes forward with all of it's unexpected challenges. I'm so grateful to have a Savior who knows the path before me and gives me His grace to meet each challenge.
